Have you ever experienced when you need an answer or you’re trying to make a decision, and suddenly the answer just comes? Imagine being able to access this any time you wish. That’s what meditation can do for you.
Now, there are different forms of meditation. But we believe the purest reason for meditation is to receive knowledge and awareness of things in the spirit realm. You may have heard it said that prayer is how we talk to God, and meditation is how God talks to us. It is true! When we cut off our incessant chatter in our heads, we finally create the space, the quiet, necessary to hear what we need to hear.
When you go into meditation, set an intention or ask a question. And then be quiet! Quiet your mind. When you start hearing your own voice in your head, just stop talking. You can think. The point of meditation is not to stop thinking. It’s to stop talking! That is the challenge! But when we practice, bits at a time, this becomes easier. We stop our mind chatter and really wait and listen for the answer to our question or intention. The answers always come. Because you have created the space, you have cut out a space of silence. You have tapped into the stream of knowledge that is always available to you, but that our mind blocks out with its endless talking.
He says to focus on the space, the in-between. THAT is where Being is. He says that sound is born from silence and dies into silence, and while it is alive, it is surrounded by silence. It would not exist without silence. The SILENCE. THAT is Being.
It got me excited to meditate on that concept, focusing on the space, on the non-thought, the emptiness, the silence, the in-between. That is where I'll find the Infinite.
I'm just a traveler, a dreamer, like you.
